Connection is vital on the jobsite — connection between the crew, between the operator and machine, and most importantly between the engine and machine.
To help customers stay connected to what matters most, John Deere has expanded its remote monitoring and diagnostics services to original equipment manufacturer (OEM) equipment through John Deere Connected Support. With John Deere Connected Support, operators of OEM machines can look forward to exceptional efficiency and productivity through proactive equipment health monitoring and prognostic capabilities.
“John Deere Connected Support has been used for years by our agricultural and construction and forestry divisions with proven benefits to end customers and fleet managers. We are now offering this technology to our OEM customers so end users of their products can take advantage of its many features,” said Nicolas Legrand, Global Manager — Aftermarket and Customer Support for John Deere Power Systems. “John Deere Connected Support is not just a standard telematics solution. It offers OEMs and their customers access to the John Deere service network expertise and proactive support for their engines.”
John Deere Connected Support is a customer-focused solution that combines connectivity, data, analytics, and technology into innovative digital tools that remotely monitor fleet health, diagnose machines, and program software. All of this is provided to the end user with no subscription fees. The technology allows both dealers and end users to shift from a reactive service and maintenance mentality to a proactive approach.
Going beyond other telematics and prognostic solutions on the market, John Deere has tapped into its vast network of more than half a million connected John Deere agricultural and construction and forestry machines across the world to leverage aggregated engine data to provide an innovative capability called Predictive Alerts.
“Predictive Alerts combine telematic engine data, diagnostic analytics, and an actionable solution into an alert that, with the end user’s consent, is delivered to the customer’s service dealer of choice. From there, the dealer is able to address potential engine issues before they happen and reduce repair time so that customers can look forward to improved machine uptime and productivity,” said Christophe Lebon, Aftermarket Project Manager for John Deere Power Systems.
John Deere Connected Support is available on the JD14, JD18, and 9.0L engines and on electronic engines for all markets, with plans to further expand the technology to other engines in the future*.
Backed by a robust service network of over 9,000 dealer locations across the globe, John Deere Connected Support builds on the company’s commitment to superior customer support and service. Leveraging connectivity and diagnostic capabilities will help ensure that OEM machines powered by John Deere engines are kept in peak operating condition, resulting in improved uptime and more insights into the fleets of the future.
