A consortium of companies has won a US$855 million project to build a new terminal and associated Skylink station at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport.

The winning Innovation Next+ consortium is composed of the Walsh Group – Walsh Construction & Archer Western, Turner Construction Company, Phillips May Corporation, H.J. Russell & Company and Carcon Industries, with PGAL, Gensler and Muller2 as design team members.

The new terminal F building, which will be south of Terminal D, will include 15 gates and the new Skylink station. The double-loaded concourse building, which allows aircraft to park on both sides, is set to measure around 37,000 sq m.

Construction of Terminal F is expected to start in June this year and is scheduled to be operational by Q2 of 2027.

Meanwhile, a separate project at the airport is underway to refurbish Terminal C at the airport, which involves upgrading interior finishes at 18 domestic gates, and reconfiguring and expanding the ticketing and security checkpoints, as well as installing energy efficient glazing and HVAC systems. Suffolk was awarded the project in partnership with 3i contracting.
