Visas are required

Visas are required by most foreigners entering China. For a visa application the following documents are needed:

• passport (valid for more than six months)

• completed visa application form

• one passport photograph Visa application forms can be downloaded from Ministry of Foreign Affairs webpage: (Missions Overseas =< Chinese Embassies).

A tourist visa (single entry) costs about € 50 (US$ 64).

If you are conducting business in China you need a business visa (single entry), which also costs about € 50 (US $64). As well as a passport, photo and application form, business visa applications must be supported by an official letter of invitation from the trade fair organisers.
