Three contractors share £4bn UK utilities framework

Procurement organisation Scape has appointed Kier and McLaughlin & Harvey to a £3 billion (US$3.8 billion) framework covering England, Wales, and Northern Ireland.

McLaughlin & Harvey has also won a spot on the £1 billion (US$1.3 billion) framework for Scotland alongside RJ McLeod.

The frameworks allow clients access to the contractors when they need help delivering the energy, transport and water infrastructure needed to meet sustainability targets and the needs of communities.

The contractors will be available under the new frameworks from next month (February).

Scape Group chief executive Mark Robinson said, “The SCAPE Utilities frameworks have been created to support better-connected communities, future-proof national infrastructure and scale-up green energy projects that support the use of renewables. These new frameworks will help clients accelerate the works and services needed to support a low-carbon economy in the years to come.”
