Tetra Tech wins $200m deal to modernise flood risk management infrastructure

Consulting engineer Tetra Tech has won a $200 million contract to provide architectural and engineering design services to modernise inland navigation and flood risk management infrastructure in the US.

The contract, for the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Great Lakes and Ohio River Division will also involve restoring aquatic ecosystems.

The five-year deal will see Tetra Tech design and provide technical support to upgrade locks, dams, levees, hydraulic systems, waterways, and enhance ecosystems.

Its engineers and scientists will develop site assessments and master plans, conduct feasibility studies, collect and analyse data, and design infrastructure modernisation and ecosystem restoration solutions.

Dan Batrack, Tetra Tech chairman and CEO said, “Tetra Tech has been providing technical A-E services to support USACE in the delivery of vital services to improve water resources infrastructure in the United States for more than 30 years.
