Scania inTerex agreement

16 February 2010

Scania has signed a long-term but non-exclusive agreement to supply Stage IIIB compliant engines featuring selective catalytic reduction (SCR) to Terex.

Senior vice president for product development and marketing at Terex, Jacob Thomas said, "Not being an engine manufacturer, Terex has the flexibility to choose the best technical solution for each of its product applications and does not have to select a one-size-fits-all approach.

"Scania has the technological expertise and resources to meet our requirements in key product applications and has an outstanding reputation globally," he said.

Senior vice president at Scania Engines, Robert Sobocki told CE, "This agreement, which is effective from 2011, is the result of our on-going drive to strengthen our position in the off-highway market. Scania is committed to best-in-class service and our global support network for industrial engines will be ready to meet the high product support standards of Terex equipment customers."
