The second annual Rebuild Ukraine conference and exhibition has opened today in Warsaw, Poland.

First held in London in 2022 following the start of the conflict in Ukraine, the two-day event highlights the work needed to rebuild infrastructure, industry, energy, and housing in the country.

It brings together associations, OEMs and governmental agencies with the aim of fostering international collaboration and support for Ukraine’s economic, social, and political development.

Attendees at the event include the European Rental Association (ERA), Construction Equipment Association (CEA), European Construction Industry Federation (FIEC) and the Committee for European Construction Equipment (CECE).

Meanwhile a number of OEMs, including Danfoss, Containex, Hyundai Engineering & Construction and Liebherr are also in attendance.

This year, the event will focus on energy security, the decentralisation of energy generation and the development of green energy, all topics that are critical as Ukraine seeks to both rebuild and transform its energy sector to align with broader global trends towards sustainable and renewable energy sources.

As such, construction technologies, equipment and materials are all on show, all crucial to the country’s rebuilding process. The exhibition will also showcase green technologies and the global achievements of the construction and energy industries, highlighting the move towards sustainability in the reconstruction efforts.

Suneeta Johal, CEO of the CEA, said, “Our presence at Rebuild Ukraine is a testament to the CEA’s commitment to playing a pivotal role in Ukraine’s reconstruction. It is important for us to represent our members here, to showcase what our members have to offer, and to contribute to the global conversation on rebuilding infrastructure sustainably.”
