New wheeled loaders from Doosan Infracore Europe

Doosan Infracore Europe has expanded its range of wheeled loaders, with the launch of its new DL220-7 and DL250-7 models.

Doosan Infracore DL220-7 wheeled loader The new DL220-7 wheeled loader from Doosan Infracore Europe is equipped with a 2.3 cu m capacity bucket, while its sister machine, the DL250-7, comes with a 2.5 cu m capacity bucket.

The two Stage V compliant models are part of the manufacturer’s D-7 product line - the company’s first complete redesign of its wheeled loader range in 10 years.

The new machines, which join seven larger models launched in December 2020, have been designed to provide higher productivity, increased fuel efficiency and a lower cost of ownership (TCO) than the company’s previous DL-5 equipment series.

Charlie Park, CEO of Doosan Infracore Europe, said: “We have been delighted with the reception we received for the launch of the first seven models in the DL-7 wheel loader range at the end of last year.

“The new DL220-7 and DL250-7 provide all of the same innovations provided by the larger models ensuring market-leading operator comfort, fuel economy, productivity and durability.”

In addition to a restyled exterior, the models both feature a Doosan DL06V Stage V 6-cylinder engine that provides up to 5% greater fuel efficiency than Doosan’s previous generation of machines.

For further fuel efficiency, Doosan said machine operators can also make use its Doosan Smart Guidance System (DSGS).

According to the manufacturer, the new feature analyses both the driving habits and behaviour of the operator and provides a score and guide that shows their level of fuel economy, efficiency and durability by category.

Doosan Infracore DL250-7 wheeled loader Doosan said its new DL220-7 and DL250-7 (pictured) loaders offer smooth and responsive hydraulics and auxiliary hydraulic connections. Optional extras also include a 5-gear powershift transmission with Lock-up torque convertor and heavy duty HDL axles for enhanced traction with Differential Hydraulic Lock.

Both models are fitted with an automatic 4-speed powershift transmission and Limited Slip Differential (LSD) axles, and offer a top speed of 40 km/h.

Doosan said, “The LIS (Load Isolation System) provides a smoother ride and higher comfort for the operator, as well as higher productivity due to improved stability when the wheel loader is moving.

“The lift arm is cushioned by a hydro-pneumatic accumulator linked to the lift hydraulic system, acting as a shock absorber.

“The benefits include reduced cycle times, higher performance and better fuel efficiency while carrying out load and carry applications.”

The cabs of DL220-7 and DL250-7 feature a fully adjustable Grammar Actimo XXL seat with heating and a new Electric Main Control Valve joystick.

Fully integrated in the armrest, Doosan said the joystick provides operators with “smoother and precise controllability of the lift arm and attachments on the wheel loaders”.

The company said, “Features available via the EMCV system include Automatic Return-to-Dig, Bucket Tilt Kick-out and the Bucket crowd stop position and shock prevention for higher operator comfort.”

Featuring a high lift arm, both the DL220-7 and DL25007 are available in HL versions.

An optional 300kg counterweight also allows customers in the construction, demolition, recycling and mining and quarrying industries to transport a range of materials, such as soil, sand and aggregates.
