New town

Bahrain: A 50/50 joint venture between Royal Boskalis Westminster and Van Oord has been awarded the 690 ha “North Bahrain New Town” reclamation project in Bahrain. The 24 month, BHD 85 million (US$ 184 million)contract requires dredging 38 million m3 of sand and placing 1.5 million tonnes of rock for slope protection.
