The manufacturer said the advantage of the compact pump is the combination of a five part folding boom, Powerbloc drive unit and a semi-closed oil circuit.

The machine has also been given a new and appealing look, Liebherr said. Following testing and industry collaborations, the pump is now ready to be sold in the US market.

Industry input

In terms of industry input, a large number of the pump operators’ wishes were considered, Liebherr added, such as ergonomic access steps, simplified accessibility and an expansion of the stowage and storage options.

Its compact assembly with no boom overhang at the rear ensures high manoeuvrability in confined spaces.

The machine can travel with a total weight of 26 tonnes on three axles, depending on the equipment.

Five-part boom

The new five-part boom allows for increased flexibility on site, allowing it to reach a wide variety of positions for construction tasks.

The design and kinematics of the boom ensure low-vibration and even work when placing concrete.

The shape of the charging hopper favours a uniform flow of concrete and two separately driven agitators push the concrete directly into the suction area, which works well with different concrete types.

Powerbloc drive unit

Liebherr’s Powerbloc pump drive unit ensures all hydraulic switching and measuring elements are fully integrated. Liebherr said this eliminates the need for numerous hydraulic hoses and other components that were previously required.

Features of the new system are its robustness, high performance and quiet running, said the manufacturer.

Semi-closed oil circuit

The new drive unit is combined with the semi-closed oil circuit, which supplies all drives with hydraulic energy. As a result, the oil volume could be significantly reduced.

Liebherr said its customers have confirmed the quiet and powerful operation of the pump unit.
