International Construciton November podcast

14 November 2012

In this month's podcast, iC editor Chris Sleight and deputy editor Helen Wright look at some of the key stories in the November 2012 issue of the magazine.

From the news pages, we discuss explosive revelations being heard by the Charbonneau Inquiry in Québec, into links between the construction industry, corrupt politicians and organised crime.

We also take a look at prospects in the Russian construction market, including a focus on the US$ 7 billion of investment that is expected in stadiums and training facilities ahead of the 2018 World Cup.

This month’s podcast also takes a look at a report into international work carried out by European contractors, based on statistics collected by the European International Contractors (EIC) trade association. This points to an increase in foreign work last year, driven by other countries in Europe.

There is also a briefing on the new iPad/Tablet versions of the magazine which will be available soon.
