Global demolition champions

World: US-based Penhall International is the world's largest demolition contractor, according to the 2006 edition of the D&Ri 100. The league table is a ranking of the sector's 100 largest companies and is compiled by IC's sister magazine Demolition & Recycling International (D&Ri).

US companies dominate the top of the table, filling the first five places and a total of eight of the top 10 spots. Europe's largest demolition contractor is UK-based Cuddy Group, placed sixth in the global league table. Asia's highest placed company is Kanto Construction Industry of Japan, which was ranked in 29th place, with sales of US$ 30 million.
