26 April 2013

French contractor Vinci reported a 3.4% year-on-year rise in revenues for the first three months of 2013 to €8.4 billion, while its order book was up 1.5% to €33.1 billion.

The results were fuelled by growth in the contracting division – the largest business unit by revenues – which reported a 5.2% year-on-year increase in sales to €7.2 billion.

Of this, €5.3 billion was generated inside France (unchanged compared to the first quarter of 2012), while €3.1 billion was generated outside of France – up 10.5% year-on-year.

Within the contracting division, Vinci Energies reported a 4.7% rise in revenues to €1.3 billion, while Vinci Construction reported an 8.8% increase to €3.8 billion, but the road building division – Eurovia – reported a 3.2% drop in revenues to €1.3 billion.

Meanwhile, the concessions business unit reported revenues if €1.1 billion, up 0.5% year-on-year.

Overall, Vinci said it expected its business to be at least stable in 2013.
