FIEC releases report on construction activity in Europe

The European Construction Industry Federation (FIEC) has announced the release of its new Construction Activity in Europe report.

The European Construction Industry Federation (FIEC) has released its Construction Activity in Europe report for 2023.

The report delivers statistics covering the European Union (EU) as a whole, as well as analysing data for 22 individual countries.

Statistics and/or analysis within the report includes:

  • The general economic situation, general economic policy and public policies in relation to the construction industry
  • Gross value added
  • Investment in total construction, new housebuilding, renovation and maintenance of residential buildings, non-residential building and civil engineering
  • Employment in construction and its share in overall EU employment
  • Building permits
  • Number of construction enterprises

Also, for the first time, the report offers an analysis of how and why prices for certain construction materials have changed over time in a number of EU member states.

Text and data contained within the report are drawn from national reports supplied to FIEC by its Member Federations.
