Demolition on the move

29 April 2008

Genesis Attachments has launched a new demolition bucket designed for use on wheeled and tracked loaders, the GDMB. Currently two models are available, the GDMB 250 with 2 to 2.5 yd3 (1.5 to 1.9 m3) capacity and the GDMB 350 with 3 to 3.5 yd3 (2.3 to 2.7 m3) capacity, but Genesis says that it intends to add further models in the near future.

Genesis says the new buckets balance strength and weight to provide high performance when handling a wide range of materials and at the same time increasing load out capabilities. Its rigid design resists twisting, even when handling oversized, uneven loads, and potential for wear has been minimised through the use of weld-on wear teeth on the top clamp and wear plates fabricated from abrasion-resistant AR400 steel. The lower bucket features a bolt-on bucket tooth system compatible with any other tooth system.

The GDMB is suitable for use across a wide range of applications, including demolition waste handling, C&D sorting, scrap handling, and compaction. Genesis claims that the combination of powerful clamping force and fast cycle times results in rapid and easy movement of materials on site.
