Bouygues wins new Singapore development contract

12 September 2013

Dragages Singapore, a Bouygues Construction subsidiary, has been awarded a €102 million (US$ 135 million) contract to design and build a major residential complex in the centre of Singapore Island.

The project, being developed by a joint venture formed by CapitaLand Singapore and Mitsubishi Estate Asia, will cover 81,000 m2.

Dragages Singapore will be responsible for the design and construction of two 37-storey towers, offering 694 apartments, a five-storey car park and a basement.

Construction work will commence in October and is expected to take 33 months to complete. The site will employ up to 600 workers.

The complex will be certified Green Mark Gold Plus, one of the highest levels of the Singapore label evaluating the environmental impact and energy efficiency of buildings.

Olivier-Marie Racine, chairman and CEO of Bouygues Bâtiment International, said, “We are very pleased to have signed this contract and proud of property developer CapitaLand Singapore’s continued confidence in Bouygues Construction. We have maintained a continuous presence in Singapore for 30 years, and this gives us a strong commercial advantage.”

Through its subsidiary Dragages Singapore, Bouygues Construction has already successfully completed four residential complexes for CapitaLand Singapore Limited since 2000.
