Board change at Astaldi

09 November 2015

A planned reorganisation of Italian-based contractor Astaldi would see co-CEO Filippo Stinellis taking a prime role in overseeing business activities.

The company said the plan, which is said to reinforce the organisational model of the company, was due to be submitted for approval at a board meeting on 11 November.

The company said the change would help with responding more to the group’s increasing size at home and abroad, with CEO Stefano Cerri therefore able to concentrate more on the group’s economic and financial management, and on strengthening its financial structure.

The company said that the growth recorded in recent years had transformed it into a consolidated top-quality integrated construction-concession group.

Stinellis was appointed to the Astaldi board in January 2015, becoming co-ordinator of the group’s business activities in March. He has been with the group since 1992, working on managing major initiatives in Italy and abroad.

Today, Astaldi is active in 18 countries, with 80% of its sales revenue abroad.
