Airport access

25 April 2008

Mexico: Construction work, estimated to be worth US$ 73 million, to improve access to Mexico City International Airport got underway in January. The project includes construction of a cable stayed bridge, three elevated roadways and a new access road.

Construction of a second terminal at the airport is already underway and the new access roads form part of a plan to improve passenger services. The access improvements are being directly funded by the federal government and through airport operator ASA. In January ICA won the MXP 1.9 billion (US$ 181 million) contract to finish the second terminal, with completion due in August.
