New cranes from Sany
06 November 2014
Sany has made a splash at Bauma China in the past with some enormous cranes. The models announced for exhibition at Bauma China are small in comparison, but they will still be significant machines.
The STC2200 is a 200 tonne capacity truck crane with a 68 m main boom and 36 m luffing jib.
Meanwhile the SAC6000 is a 600 tonne capacity all-terrain crane on an eight-axle chassis with a 90 m, seven-section main boom. The maximum lifting height is 136 m with an additional jib, and the crane is aimed at the wind turbine market where Sany says it could life an 80 tonne nacelle – about 2 MW – to a height of 80 m.
In the crawler crane segment, the 135 tonne capacity SCC1350E will be on display, which offers an 80 m main boom. The unit breaks down into modules weighing no more than 32.8 tonnes, and measuring 3 m or less in width for ease of transportation, and Sany says it can be moved in five vehicle loads.
