Deutz employs 20 apprentices

The company, which offers training in seven different professions, has employed two women and 18 men.

Of this year’s apprentices, two will specialise in electronics, while two will specialise in warehouse operations. Ten apprentices will train in technological metal working, with three training in machinery metals working, and three will train in mechatronics.

Deutz’s next generation of skilled workers will support the production operations for the company’s compact engines, which are based in Cologne.

Margarete Haase, member of the board of management at Deutz, said, “The start of their professional training marks the beginning of a new chapter in their lives and I am delighted that our new apprentices chose to start their careers at Deutz.”

Meanwhile, Frank Opitz, head of the training centre in Cologne, said, “We are delighted to have been able to fill all our apprenticeship places with exceptional and motivated young people again this year.

“Our in-house apprenticeships benefit us as a company as much as they do the trainees – we offer vocational training of a very high standard, thereby also ensuring that we can meet the demand for skilled workers at our production plants.”
