Caterpillar's Intermat 2012 launches will include its K-series wheeled loaders

Caterpillar's French dealer, Bergerat Monnoyeur will have some 60 machines on display, about 20 of which will be on show in Europe for the first time. Among the larger ones will be the 775G rigid hauler, which can carry a 63 tonne payload, as well as the 966K CVT wheeled loader. The 'CVT' stands for Constant Velocity Transmission, which the company says provides better fuel economy and performance compared to a traditional torque converter.

Other new Stage IIIB K-series loaders on display will include the 924K, 930K and 938K, which feature what Caterpillar describes as an 'intelligent hydrostatic drive system', alongside a front-axle differential lock, new cooling system and new cab with automatic climate control.

New excavators on display will include the Stage IIIB 312E, 320E and 323E, which Cat says offer enhanced performance, controllability and versatility compared to previous models. Also on show will be a D6T Stage IIIB-compliant dozer.

New additions to Caterpillar's compact equipment range will include the 1.7 tonne 301.7D mini excavator and the 2.4 tonne 302.4D. They will be shown alongside the new F-series backhoe loaders, which will be represented by the 428F and 432F. A key feature of the machines is a new loader linkage which provides greater lift and dump heights as well as an increased capacity. There is also a new electronic torque limiter which improves performance, along with a power management system.

New pavers from Caterpillar at Intermat will include the smallest model in its range, the AP255E as well as the largest machine the AP1055E. The company will also use the show to display new models from its B series vibratory soil compactor range, alongside the CW34 pneumatic tyred roller, which features a new power train, operator controls and a modular ballast system.
